The graduation examination for the seventh batch of the specialized Periodontology and Implantology training program, run by International Dental Continuing Education (IDCE), gets under way today. The assessment takes place during the second IDCE Scientific Conference, held on 11 and 12 September 2026, in the presence of prominent deans, professors, experts, and dental specialists from Egypt and abroad. Today’s activities mark the culmination of a specialized educational journey in which seventh-batch dentists completed a curriculum combining academic qualification, clinical training, and practical experience, leading to a final assessment testing the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program.

The conference was attended by Prof Dr Sherif Basha, Chairman of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives, who praised the advanced scientific and professional standards delivered by IDCE through its specialized programs.
He emphasized the importance of investing in quality continuous medical education and training as a fundamental pillar for upgrading medical cadres and supporting the development of the healthcare system. In his address, Prof Dr Basha stated that the IDCE model reflects the necessity of evolving continuous medical education beyond theoretical knowledge to build practical skills and handle clinical challenges, adding that such programs enhance the competence of Egyptian dentists, allowing them to keep pace with global developments and compete regionally and internationally.

Also attending was Prof Dr Ayman Diab, President of East Capital University, who commended IDCE’s advanced scientific level in continuing dental education and training. Prof Dr Diab stressed that investing in specialized education and clinical training is essential for preparing dentists who can keep pace with rapid developments in dental science and practice.
He highlighted the value of educational models that integrate academic qualification, practical application, and international expertise, thereby improving the caliber of Egyptian dentists and enhancing their regional and international competitiveness.
Co-chairing the board of examiners is Prof Dr Joseph Kan, guest of honor at the conference, Professor at Loma Linda University in the United States, and consultant in prosthodontics and implant surgery, alongside a select group of specialized experts.
The conference is accredited by the Egyptian Health Council, while the training program holds accreditation from the American Dental Association (ADA), reflecting the institution’s commitment to delivering an educational experience aligned with advanced standards in continuing dental education.
Following the evaluation and discussion phase, the seventh-batch dentists will celebrate their achievements at an official graduation ceremony held as part of the second IDCE Scientific Conference. In his address to attendees, Prof Dr Ahmed Abou El Fetouh, CEO of IDCE, stated that the graduation of the seventh batch represents a major milestone for the institution, embodying its vision of delivering an advanced model of continuing dental education based on scientific qualification, clinical practice, and specialized assessment.
Prof Dr Abou El Fetouh explained that the primary objective of IDCE’s programs is to prepare dentists capable of translating scientific knowledge into advanced clinical practice through training on real-life cases, direct interaction with experts, and evaluations testing critical thinking, analysis, and decision-making beyond mere absorption of scientific content. He noted that attracting top Egyptian and international experts remains a core element of IDCE’s strategy.
