The civil aviation authorities cancelled on Tuesday 55 hot air balloon rides in the skies of Luxor’s west bank, which were carrying 740 tourists of different nationalities.
The cancellation came after bad weather hit the area in the past hours to protect the lives of the tourists, said Representative of the union of hot balloon companies in Luxor Ahmed Abboud.
In statements, Abboud said tourist sites in Luxor’s west bank witnessed a high visitor turnout, including visits by international figures, amidst expectations of a tourism boom and a strong winter and spring seasons.
