SHARM EL SHEIKH – The youth play a crucial role in preserving world peace and attaining development, affirmed Fu Zhenbang, the special representative of the Chinese president and vice-president of All China Youth Federation.
In a speech delivered via video conference before the World Youth Forum(WYF) on Monday, Zhenbang said that the world has undergone major changes, pointing out to the difficult challenges besetting the youth in many areas, including health, education and jobs.
The Chinese official also pointed out to statements made by the Chinese president last September at the UN General Assembly, during which he highlighted the centrality of youth development.
This was widely supported by all world countries, he added.
He also said that the Communist Party in China attaches great importance to the young people and their empowerment.
