Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Gomblat, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to maximising the manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities of its affiliated companies, while expanding strategic partnerships with specialised international companies and institutions.
The minister made the remarks during a series of high-level meetings with representatives of international companies and entities participating in the second edition of EIAS 2026, including companies from France, Italy, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom.
Gomblat also highlighted the ministry’s efforts to develop the capabilities of its affiliated companies and enhance their contribution to the defence manufacturing sector.
He emphasised that co-operation with leading international partners represents an important avenue for transferring expertise, developing technological capabilities and opening new prospects for joint manufacturing and development.
During the meetings, the minister explored potential areas of co-operation and discussed matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on opportunities to establish industrial and technological partnerships that make effective use of the capabilities available to both sides.
The representatives of the participating companies expressed their strong interest in expanding co-operation with companies affiliated with the ministry.
They also commended the Ministry’s participation in EIAS 2026, noting that its exhibits demonstrate the continued development of its affiliated companies and their growing capabilities in manufacturing, technology and technical services, particularly in the defence sector.
In a significant development, the minister also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Military Production and a leading global company.
The agreement aims to promote the exchange of technical and technological expertise and maximise the use of the manufacturing capabilities available to both parties.
It forms part of the ministry’s broader strategy to establish and deepen industrial partnerships between its affiliated companies and international counterparts across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on defence manufacturing.
Representatives of the partner company welcomed the agreement and expressed their appreciation for the exceptional manufacturing, technological, technical and human capabilities of the ministry’s affiliated companies, as well as their advanced industrial infrastructure.
They underscored the potential of these capabilities to provide a strong foundation for expanded co-operation and future joint projects.
