During the meeting, Minister Shaker reviewed efforts to supply electricity for the meganational projects being carried out nationwide, especially the New Delta project that aims to reclaim 2.2 million feddans, and the ongoing efforts to link it to the national grid, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

Shaker also reviewed the ministry’s efforts to complete the infrastructure works to secure electricity for the North Coast, as well as for the national project to develop Sinai, in a way that could help establish new urban and housing communities in the entire region, Radi added.

Meanwhile, Minister Shaker reviewed the updates regarding co-operation with the long-standing world expertise as part of the national strategy to generate green hydrogen.

The president gave directives to carry on with national plans seeking to boost renewable energy, maximise its value to diversify sources of power supply, which is crucial to the development process in Egypt.
