Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned on Wednesday the death of army commanders who took part in the October 1973 war against Israel.
The two army veterans, Lieutenant General Abdel Meneim Khalil and Lieutenant General Abd Rabennabi Hafez died Tuesday and they were laid to rest today.
The president mourned them during a ceremony to honour Egyptian women and ideal mothers held at the Manara Conference Centre in New Cairo.
