ISMAILIA, Egypt- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the necessity of floating scientific ideas to face the challenges facing the State.
This came during the president’s meeting with members of the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) on Tuesday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of a celebration to mark the excellence of Egyptian universities.
During the meeting, President Sisi discussed the education quality and competitiveness in the area of higher education and scientific research.
The SCU chairman briefed President Sisi on the accreditation of Egyptian universities by international institutions.
Sisi also listened to a detailed explanation from the President of Alexandria University about efforts exerted to link scientific research to industry.
He also listened to an explanation from the President of Cairo University about efforts made to rise the university’s ranking in the international outlook of universities.
President Sisi was posted on efforts exerted by Tanta University to support students’ participation in the “Decent Life” Initiative.
Sisi arrived at Suez Canal University earlier today and was received by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and a number of senior state officials.
