CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday inspected construction works which are underway in a number of roads, axes and industrial sites linking between eastern and western regions of Cairo as part of the national project to overhaul the roads network of Greater Cairo.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said Sisi directed that such works should take into consideration the biggest possible expansions in the implementation of new roads and axes in Cairo to achieve the necessary traffic flows along with providing all the necessary services for vehicles and citizens.
Sisi also inspected the progress achieved in the implementation of Omar Al Mokhtar Axis in Mustorod region, which extends till Adly Mansour Axis. The president also toured the second phase of Jossef Tito Axis development which extends to the ring road.
The president also inspected Shenzo Abe Axis, which will contribute to easing traffic from El Shaheed Axis till the New Administrative Capital, extending for a length of 15 kilometers, passing through the Suez Road and the Ring road
