Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Monday a phone call from his UAE counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nuhayyan as they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and efforts underway to halt ongoing military escalation, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
During the conversation, the two leaders agreed on the importance of intensifying coordination and consultation as well as pushing forward diplomatic efforts aimed at ceasing escalation and violence in order to protect the civilians, stem bloodshed and pave the way for achieving a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees maintaining security and stability in the region.
