The State Information Service is pressing ahead with its comprehensive plan to spread community awareness across Egypt’s governorates, through its internal media centres in line with President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi’s vision that places the development of the Egyptian citizen and strengthening national awareness at the forefront of the New Republic.

SIS Chairman Ambassador Alaa Youssef noted that last week’s activities reflected diversity in issues directly affecting citizens, ranging from national security and family development to digital awareness, health, energy, agriculture and national identity. He stressed that these programmes aim to strengthen participation, responsibility and resilience in facing challenges.

Centres across the country organised seminars on national security, including sessions in the governorates Matrouh, Qena, Beheira and Menoufia addressing extremism, misinformation and regional challenges. Family development was a major focus, with events in Cairo, Qena, Giza, Kafr El‑Sheikh, North Sinai and other governorates tackling family stability, child marriage risks and responsible parenthood. Digital literacy initiatives included workshops in North Sinai, New Valley, Qalyubia and Alexandria on safe digital practices, AI awareness and cyber protection.

Efforts also supported sustainable development, with events on energy conservation, modern farming, literacy eradication and healthcare. Meanwhile, national identity programmes engaged youth through trips and seminars in Assiut and other governorates, promoting heritage appreciation and strengthening belonging.

Ambassador Youssef emphasised that these efforts reinforce Egypt’s strategic priorities, ensuring citizens are equipped with knowledge to contribute to sustainable development and national resilience.
