Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq asserted Egypt’s interest in promoting co-operation with the European Union in various domains.
Abdel Razeq made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and her accompanying delegation.
Abdel Razeq commended Metsola’s role in furthering parliamentary relations between Egypt and the EU for the best interests of both sides.
He underlined Egypt’s keenness on realizing stability in the region and the world as a whole.
For her part, Metsola lauded the pivotal role played by Egypt to achieve stability in the region.
She underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Egyptian and EU parliaments vis-a-vis various issues, thus contributing to furthering bilateral cooperation.
