Egypt’s Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hany Sewilam has voiced Egypt’s keenness to expand technical co-operation and expertise exchange with African nations.
During a meeting with Minister of Water Resources of Sierra Leone Philip Karimu Lansana in Cairo on Wednesday, the two ministers agreed to maintain co-ordination to prepare proposals for co-operation between the two countries in desalination.
Sewilam also reviewed efforts to co-operate with other countries and international organisations to put the water sector at the heart of global climate action.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 5th Cairo Water Week.
