Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko has welcomed the upcoming visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Moscow, where he is expected to participate in the Victory Day celebrations on May 9.
In remarks to MENA, Ambassador Borisenko expressed his appreciation for President Sisi’s participation in the commemorative events, highlighting the strength of the longstanding partnership and friendship between Egypt and Russia. He noted that the two nations maintain close coordination on various international issues.
The ambassador also emphasized the historical significance of Victory Day, marking over 80 years since the triumph over fascism. He pointed out that current global challenges underscore the continued need for unity, respect for national sovereignty, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
