Deputy Chairman of Wafd Khaled Qandil called for closing ranks to overcome the extraordinary circumstances which Egypt is passing through as a result of regional and international crises.
This can be achieved through re-electing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi as he has successfully led Egypt amidst these challenges and managed to proceed with implementing a large number of giant national projects, he expounded.
In a statement on Tuesday, he said “We have two options either supporting the party’s head in the presidential elections or heeding national interest by supporting President Sisi.”
He added “We have trusted President Sisi and we renew our confidence in him.”
He asserted supporting President Sisi in his new round to proceed with his achievements, expressing full respect to the party’s chairman Abdel Sanad Yamama.
He highlighted the democratic and freedom climate in the new republic, expounding that this is quite clear in Yamama’s right to run in the upcoming presidential elections.
