Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Egypt’s keenness on promoting co-operation with Bahrain in various domains in a way that serves the two countries’ peoples.

This came during President Sisi’s meeting on Wednesday with Bahraini Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa.

In statements, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said that President Sisi, during the meeting, stressed the importance of intensive coordination with Bahrain regarding developments in the Middle East, in light of the Egyptian-Bahraini co-operation and coordination to achieve regional stability.

For his part, the Bahraini crown prince welcomed President Sisi and expressed the Bahraini Kingdom’s appreciation of the Egyptian leadership and people in light of the deeply-rooted ties binding the two countries.

He also stressed the important role played by the Egyptian community in the construction and development process in Bahrain, asserting his country’s keenness on strengthening ties with Egypt at all levels.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on exchanging visits between the two countries with the view to boosting economic, investment and trade relations between Egypt and Bahrain.

They also exchanged views on a host of regional issues and efforts to promote co-operation and coordination among Arab countries to face challenges and threats to regional security and stability in the Arab region.
