CAIRO – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is adopting the implementation of the biggest project to improve the healthcare service provision in Egypt through implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, said Finance Minister Mohamed Maait.
Speaking at the end of the training course organized by the World Bank for the first time in Egypt, Maait affirmed Egypt’s keenness on benefiting from international expertise in implementing comprehensive health coverage systems.
The minister, meanwhile, appreciated the great role played by the international development partners and their fruitful cooperation and keenness on supporting the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system in Egypt.
The minister also referred to the crucial role played by the comprehensive health insurance system in reforming the health sector in Egypt and alleviating the burden on citizens.
