Egyptian Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawi stressed on Sunday that the political leadership has been attaching great importance, since assuming office, to supporting African countries in all development domains to achieve hoped-for progress and prosperity.
Egypt is the heart of the African continent that always welcomes all African brothers, said Shaarawi during the second training course of African local cadres in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development.
As many as 24 trainees representing 17 African states are taking part in the ten-day course.
The first training course took place in November 2019.
He said the course comes within the framework of Egyptian state’s keenness on supporting African countries to achieve the goals of Africa agenda 2063 and consolidate foundations of integration among African states.
