CAIRO- Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli welcomed at Cairo International Airport Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival for an official visit to Egypt at an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The accompanying delegation of the Indian premier includes the foreign minister, national security adviser and a number of senior officials of the Indian cabinet and the Foreign Ministry.
An official reception of the Indian guest was held at the airport.
The Egyptian and Indian premiers will hold a round table meeting at the cabinet HQ with the participation of ministers of both sides to review means of enhancing bilateral cooperation.
“I look forward to talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi”, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Saturday upon arrival in Cairo.
“Landed in Cairo. I am confident this visit will strengthen India’s ties with Egypt,” Modi tweeted.
“I thank Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly for the special gesture of welcoming me at the airport. May India-Egypt ties flourish and benefit the people of our nations,” he added.
Modi arrived in Cairo for a two-day state visit to Egypt at an invitation of President Sisi.
