Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla met Wednesday with Cederic Cremers, Executive Vice President of LNG at Shell and chairman of Shell Egypt Khaled Qassem, to discuss projects of the company in Egypt.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), took up Shell’s future plans in the field of exploration and its interest in having new concessions to help increase productivity.
Cremers said Shell greatly appreciates strong relations with the petroleum sector in Egypt, adding the company is committed to boosting joint cooperation, especially to support Egypt in bringing in additional amounts of East Mediterranean gas to re-export them to Europe.
