RAMALLAH – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh on Monday thanked Egypt for its efforts to stop the shedding of Palestinians’ blood in the Gaza Strip and halt the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported.
This came during the Palestinian cabinet’s meeting to discuss the three-day Israeli aggression on Gaza that left 44 Palestinians dead. The meeting also discussed the needs of the health and service sector.
He further noted that the UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Palestine today, hoping that it will rise to the level of the suffering of the Palestinians and arrive at an implementable decision based on providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
