Egypt’s State Information Service board held its first meeting after being restructured, thanking President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his support and recent decree restructuring the body.
The session, chaired by Ambassador Alaa Youssef, began with honoring Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan for his nine years leading the agency. Members praised his role in strengthening the institution’s presence at home and abroad.
The board discussed plans to enhance the agency’s mission of presenting Egypt’s image accurately, countering misinformation, and serving as a data hub for state institutions. Upgrading multilingual websites to highlight Egypt’s policies and achievements was also on the agenda.

Ambassador Youssef said the new board brings together leading media experts to advance the agency’s work.
The meeting was held at the agency’s headquarters in Nasr City with members: Editor-in-Chief of The Egyptian Gazette and The Egyptian Mail newspapers Mohamed Fahmy , Dr. Howaida Mostafa, deputy chair, Dr. Mohamed Fayez Farahat, Nevine Mohamed Kamel Omar, Abdel Moati Abu Zeid, and Alaa Eldin Kamel Thabet.
