National Council for Women (NCW) under Amal Ammar deeply thanked Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli for approving to issue a 25-pound memorial silver coin to celebrate the silver jubilee of the council.
This step reflects the appreciation of the state to the role of the council in empowering Egyptian women for 25 years, Ammar said in a statement on Saturday 29/3/2025.
She pointed out that the decision reflects the keenness of the state on documenting the achievements realized by Egyptian women.
Issuing the coin is a recognition of the achievements of women, she said, adding that it reflects the big support of the political leadership to women.
Ammar said that the Egyptian state paid special attention to the rights of women via legislative reforms that supported their position and protected them along with boosting their participation in economic, social and political development to be a key partner in decision making.
