CAIRO – Chairperson of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi and her accompanying delegation will participate in the 66th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) in New York.
In a statement on Friday, the council said the NCW head is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s word at the opening session.
Morsi and her accompanying delegation will also participate in several sessions and activities that will be held on the sidelines of the commission’s current session.
The main theme of the meetings will be to seek solutions to “Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environment and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.”
