Mrs Entissar El Sisi, wife of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, expressed on Monday her pleasure at attending the “Farhet Masr” (“Egypt’s Joy”) initiative, which celebrated the marriage of 1,000 brides and grooms in an atmosphere filled with happiness and optimism.
In a statement published on her official social media page, Mrs Sisi wrote that she was pleased to share the joy of the couples as they begin a new chapter in their lives, describing the occasion as one filled with hope, love and renewed beginnings.
She extended her heartfelt wishes to all newlyweds, expressing hope that they enjoy a happy life together and a future marked by stability, prosperity and goodness.
“Farhet Masr” is a national initiative launched by the Ministry of Social Solidarity under the patronage of Mrs Sisi, aiming to support the marriage of young men and women from underprivileged groups.
The initiative provides the basic necessities for furnishing a marital home and offers psychological and social support to minimise conflicts.
