Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Soliman Gomblat, chaired a meeting for the ministry’s Higher Training Committee to review training programmes that are aimed at enhancing employees’ technical and managerial skills and preparing a new generation of leaders, according to an official press release.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital, reviewed the training plan for the current year, including programmes designed to improve workforce efficiency and support leadership development across the ministry and its affiliated entities.
Minister Gomblat stressed that human capital is the cornerstone of the military production system, describing the development of training programmes as a top priority to improve performance and strengthen production capacity in line with industrial and technological advances.
He directed that this year’s training should focus on developing specialised technical workers, expanding programmes in critical disciplines, and drawing on experts from leading national military and civilian training institutions to transfer knowledge and best practices.
The minister also called for supporting practical training courses on production lines across affiliated companies and making greater use of the ministry’s engineering and chemical laboratories to enhance employees’ practical skills, improve productivity and maintain high quality standards.
The meeting also discussed plans to expand specialisations at the ministry’s technical schools to better meet the needs of affiliated companies and the wider labour market, while ensuring regular evaluation of training programmes to assess their impact on performance and productivity.
