As part of the Alamein International Air and Space Show (EIAS 2026), Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gomblat met with the Chairman of China’s CETC to discuss future collaboration in defence industries and advanced technologies.
The talks focused on maximising technological and manufacturing capabilities on both sides, opening the way for joint industrial projects of added value. The Minister stressed the importance of international partnerships, knowledge exchange, and localisation of modern technologies to serve mutual interests.
The Chinese side expressed appreciation for Egypt’s defence industry capabilities showcased at the exhibition and voiced interest in expanding co‑operation. Both parties agreed to maintain communication and co‑ordination to study proposed opportunities in depth and establish mechanisms for a strategic partnership.
