Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El Din Mostafa on Thursday embarked on a tour of a number of the ministry-affiliated companies in Helwan district, Cairo governorate.
The minister inspected Helwan Iron Foundries (Factory 9), Helwan Company for Non-Ferrous Industries (Factory 63), Helwan Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 99), Helwan Company for Diesel Engines (Factory 909) and Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (Factory 999).
The minister checked on the commitment of workers to the safety and security standards as well as the workflow, including the daily plan of action and quality of the production process, Spokesman for the Military Production Ministry Mohamed Eid Bakr said.
The minister also inspected the production lines of the companies and was briefed on the performance indicators, volume of sales, production and marketing plan, reserve status, production requirements alongside the regular maintenance activities.
He was also briefed on the progress rate of projects carried out by the companies in different domains.
