Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat met on Wednesday with Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to review progress on joint national projects and discuss ways to accelerate their implementation.
Gomblat reaffirmed the Military Production Ministry’s commitment to supporting national development through strategic partnerships, highlighting the advanced industrial, technological and human capabilities of its affiliated companies.
The meeting reviewed the progress of health projects being carried out by Military Production companies for the Health Ministry.
Gomblat said he had instructed officials to closely monitor project sites and resolve any obstacles to ensure timely completion and operation.
He noted that cooperation between the two ministries covers construction, infrastructure and engineering projects in several governorates.
Military Production companies have also contributed to the digitalisation of Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance System in six governorates—Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan and Suez—serving around 5.6 million beneficiaries.
The ministers also discussed expanding cooperation to support the localisation of medical technology and improve healthcare services.
Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination, holding regular review meetings and addressing implementation challenges to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
The two sides agreed to hold follow-up meetings every two weeks to speed up the delivery of projects aimed at improving healthcare services nationwide.
