Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said that the total value of goods released from customs outlets hit 56.7 billion dollars from the beginning of January, 2023, until mid-October.
The released commodities include strategic goods, supplies and services for production in a move meant to stimulate investments amid current economic challenges worldwide, he added in statements on Saturday.
The minister said committees and technical support teams were formed to facilitate customs procedures in various outlets and ports.
