South Sinai has been the scene of unprecedented comprehensive development efforts over the past eight years, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Governor Khaled Fouda has said.
President Sisi has given priority to the implementation of plenty of development and service projects for the good of the people in South Sinai, he added.
Fouda made the remarks during the inauguration of a number of projects in the city of El-Tor, South Sinai, with the presence of Major General Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction.
The officials inaugurated the second phase of an integrated farm, was carried out by the National Service Projects Organisation. It consists of 2 multi-span greenhouses, each’s is 1 acre.
The farm includes a strategic water storage basins for fish farming (8 basins in addition to a service basin). Each basin is 5000 square metres.
Another project was inaugurated to extend electricity to the Abu Hijab community in the village of Al-Wadi in the Sinai, with a cost of LE8.
One more project was the construction of the main valley road in the village of Al-Wadi in El-Tor. The road is 2.2 km long and 7 metres wide.
The officials also attended the opening of the construction and paving of a 25km road linking El-Tor with Ma’ir and Sheikh Musa communities, with cost of LE78.5 million.
