CAIRO – Egyptian Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati said his ministry seeks to efficiently secure water needs and dealing immediately with any complaints.
He directed to raising state of alert during high-consumption periods to successfully manage water resources.
This came during a periodic meeting of the Permanent Committee for Regulating the River Nile Revenue under Abdel Aati and in the presence of executive leaderships of the ministry and the National Water Research Centre.
The meeting falls within the framework of following up River Nile revenues for the current water year and measures to handle the rainfall season.
The minister reviewed waterfall rates and different scenarios to face future floods.
Abdel Aati urged to continue exerting efforts to provide the best water services for all beneficiaries and minimise water-related complaints.
