The Interior Ministry denied on Thursday rumors circulated by a pro-Muslim Brotherhood channel on the social media on the abduction of girls and children in Maadi and Giza.
A video generated by artificial intelligence technology was published claiming that there are criminal phenomenon in those districts.
Legal measures were taken against the channel for promoting false allegations.
The ministry urged citizens to be cautious about the content of such channels which seek to promote terrorist plots to destabilize the country.
