CAIRO – The Egyptian Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) has denied as groundless reports about preventing university students from entering the campus over failure to pay tuition fees.
In a statement Friday, the IDSC clarified that it had contacted the Ministry of Higher Education which dismissed the news as baseless and stressed the students’ right to enter the campus.
The ministry pointed out that Egyptian universities are allocating a budget for the students who are not able to pay fees either for tuition or hostels.
The IDSC urged all media outlets to verify any information from official sources to prevent the circulation of false news.
