Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said Tuesday his ministry will continue removing all violations and encroachments in new cities to maintain their civilized appearance.
The minister issued an administrative order to remove all encroachments and squatting operations in more than 51 feddans and 67,998 square meters of illegally-built buildings in Borg El Arab.
Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, head of the Development Authority of North the Gulf of Suez said the committee in charge of restoring illegally-possessed lands and removing encroachments in the city managed to restore 40,480 square meters in the industrial zone in Ataqa area.
