CAIRO – Assistant Secretary-General and head of the League of Arab States mission monitoring the Egyptian presidential elections Khalil Ibrahim al Zawadi conducted a field tour to inspect a number of polling stations to stand on the election operation.
In a press statement on Monday, the Arab League General Secretariat said that the mission detected the efforts exerted to make the electoral process easy and regular via organisational measures done by the National Election Authority (NEA) in addition to the intensified security and logistic preparations taken by the bodies concerned to enable the voters casting their ballots.
Zawadi met with Head of the National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi and visited the operation chamber of the council.
He lauded the Egyptian women involvement in the democratic practices and their tangible participation in rending election successful in the past years.
