CAIRO – The government and the Parliament are keen on resolving all issues pertaining to reconciliation for construction violations, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Mabdouli.
There will be no tolerance of repeating such unacceptable practices, Madbouli added, warning that unplanned and random constructions have wasted large areas of agricultural lands and led to the existence of slum areas.
While chairing a meeting Monday to follow up on steps to end procedures related to the reconciliation for construction violations, Madbouli said that he held over the past period a series of meetings to discuss this issue.
The government is currently working on preparing a new bill for reconciliation on illegal construction, he added during the meeting, which was attended by a host of ministers and senior officials.
For his part, Justice Minister Omar Marwan said that the premier issued earlier directives to amend the current law in order to address some of its shortcomings.
All relevant bodies gave their opinions in this respect, said the minister, noting that efforts are underway to reach a full consensus regarding all the articles in the draft law.
