The Egyptian cabinet media center denied reports claiming that the government will turn in-kind bread subsidies into cash subsidies in view of the international economic crunch.
In a statement on Sunday, the center contacted the Ministry of Supply which denied the news as baseless.
The ministry stressed that in-kind bread subsidies will go on under the set mechanism, the center said, urging all social media users to verify the authenticity of the news circulated to avoid perplexing public opinion.
