Egyptian Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi said the government complexes that are being established within the framework of the Decent Life initiative are a feature of the “new republic” that has been formed since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took office in 2014.
Shaarawi made the remarks during his meeting with the working team concerned with a programme to develop the Egyptian countryside; as part of the new phase of Decent Life.
The meeting touched on the status of government service complexes, which are one of the most important local development projects under the Decent Life Presidential Initiative.
They will represent an unprecedented quantum leap as regards the level of procedural services that shall be offered to the Egyptian countryside residents, the minister said.
It is planned to establish 333 complexes for procedural government services across rural municipal units that are targeted by the Decent Life initiative; in accordance with President Sisi’s directives in this regard, he added.
