The Cabinet approved during its weekly meeting on Tuesday under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli a draft resolution on closing public shops during the fasting month of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr at 2:00 am.
The draft had been submitted by the minister of local development, the head of the higher committee in charge of issuing public shops licenses.
According to the decision, shops, malls, restaurants, coffee shops and bazaars will be closed at 2:00 am.
Grocery shops, supermarkets, bakeries, wholesale markets, poultry shops and pharmacies will be exempted from the decision.
