Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gomblatt chaired a meeting with the chairmen of the ministry’s affiliated ammunition production companies to review operational performance and plans to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
The meeting assessed progress on ammunition supply contracts, production rates and ongoing manufacturing operations, while also reviewing measures aimed at improving operational efficiency, expanding production capacity and ensuring the Armed Forces’ ammunition requirements are met on schedule and in accordance with the highest technical specifications.
During the meeting, Gomblatt stressed that modernising the ammunition production system and maximising the use of the ministry’s manufacturing capabilities, advanced technologies and specialised workforce remain key priorities during the current phase.
NHe underscored the importance of maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision and efficiency throughout all stages of production to achieve the ministry’s operational targets within the planned timeframe.
The minister also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting the state’s strategy of deepening local manufacturing and increasing reliance on domestic components through the localisation of advanced technologies and the effective utilisation of national industrial capabilities.
He noted that these efforts contribute to reducing dependence on imports while strengthening Egypt’s industrial base.Gomblatt added that the continued development of ammunition production represents a strategic pillar in enhancing national manufacturing capabilities and achieving greater self-sufficiency.
He said these efforts reinforce the country’s ability to meet its defence requirements through a robust and advanced national industrial base capable of supporting sustainable development and safeguarding national security.
