Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar and Star Alliance CEO Jeffrey Goh on Tuesday exchanged views on the updates in global air travel amid the challenges posed by the coronavirus unprecedented and the global economic hardships.
Egyptair Holding Company pilot Amr Abu Elenien attended the meeting, an official statement said.
The two officials also discussed the expansion digital technology in aviation, the ministry’s role in climate change and sustainable development, and EgyptAir initiatives regarding the UN Climate Summit (COP27) min Sharm el-Sheikh in November.
Talks also focused on EgyptAir’s role as an effective member of the Star Alliance in the Middle East region and Africa, and national carrier’s present and future plans for service promotion strategy as adopted by the company to serve its clients as well as the Alliance.
The Star Alliance stressed the significant role EgyptAir in the Alliance to back new digital initiatives to make the travel experience easier and more comfortable.
