Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati met Khaled El‑Balshy, head of the Press Syndicate, on Monday to discuss stronger co-operation and engagement with the national press.
Minister Abdel-Aati commended the syndicate’s role in defending national interests and raising awareness of challenges facing Egypt, stressing the importance of continued coordination to inform public opinion about foreign policy positions. He highlighted the press as a partner in showcasing Egypt’s achievements and addressing regional risks.
For his part, El‑Balshy welcomed the co-operation and expressed eagerness to expand joint initiatives. Both sides agreed to organise regular events, briefings and training programmes to build capacity and provide deeper insight into Egypt’s foreign policy.
At the close of the meeting, the syndicate presented Abdel-Aati with its shield in recognition of the ministry’s role in advancing Egypt’s interests and strengthening ties with civil society.
