MEDINA – Female Egyptian police personnel are accompanying Egypt’s female pilgrims that have been chosen through lottery in their home country in visiting Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, Islam’s second most sacred place of worship located in the Saudi holy city of Medina.
The move comes in light of the Egyptian political leadership’s belief in the significance of women’s role in the society; as repeatedly affirmed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
