The Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs is keen on promoting for the activities of the Egyptian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (EGC), affirmed Minister Soha Gendi.
The ministry is also keen on providing all forms of support to the EGC in order to perform the tasks entrusted to it to the fullest, added Gendi while visiting the premises of the EGC accompanied by Saudi Labour Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Cairo Faisal al Otaibi, Assistant Emigration Minister for International Co-operation Mohamed Khairat and Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates Amr Abbas.
Gendi along with the Saudi labor attaché inspected the EGC and its training centers, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
The minister also attended one of the ongoing trainings at the centre and conducted a dialogue with the trainees, added the statement.
The minister extended thanks to all the EGC’s members, affirming that the center plays a crucial role in organising training courses as part of “Life Saving Boats” initiative, which aims at raising awareness on the dangers of illegal immigration.
For his part, the Saudi labour attaché hailed the distinguished performance of the centre, given its capability in competing the other training centers around the globe.
He further said that he is delighted with the collaboration with the Emigration Ministry in enhancing the capabilities of the Egyptian labour, a matter which would contribute to increasing the number of Egyptian workers in Saudi Arabia.
