Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati stressed the importance of pursuing US-Iran negotiations with seriousness and in good faith to reach a final agreement that addresses the interests and concerns of all parties and contributes to boosting regional and international security and stability.
During a recent phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Abdel-Aati reaffirmed that diplomacy remains the most effective path to resolving outstanding issues. The phone discussions came as part of ongoing consultations on developments in the negotiation process between Iran and the United States.
The Egyptian foreign minister also underscored the importance of launching an inclusive regional dialogue to address the security concerns of all parties while safeguarding the interests of the region’s countries.
He said such a dialogue would help consolidate regional peace and stability in line with the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighbourliness.
