Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production Abdel Megeed Saqr Tuesday discussed with Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik means of enhancing joint security efforts ahead of new year’s celebrations and upcoming religious and national holidays.

This came during a meeting attended by Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, along with military commanders, senior military and police officials, and cadets from military academies and the Police Academy.

The meeting reviewed strategic analysis of current domestic, regional, and international events that require unifying operational concepts and joint action strategies to maintain the highest levels of combat and security readiness, ensuring national borders are protected and stability is upheld across the country.

During the meeting, the interior minister praised tireless efforts of the across all strategic fronts.

Constant coordination between the two ministries creates a harmonious deterrent against any attempts to undermine national security, Tawfik said.

He added that the Ministry of Interior is committed to modernizing its capabilities to stay ahead of evolving threats and challenges.

For his part, Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the personnel of both the military and the police for their dedication to ensuring public safety.

The Armed Forces and the Police are the two wings of security and stability in the face of all challenges to Egyptian national security, General Saqr stated.
