CAIRO – Egyptian Ambassador in Libreville Seif Qandil conferred with Gabonese Health Minister Guy Patrick Obiang on means of enhancing joint co-operation in the field of health, medicine industry and combating the coronavirus.
A statement released by the Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page on Monday said the meeting covered means of developing the Egyptian-Gabonese Hospital in Libreville and providing it with all possible humanitarian and financial capabilities in order to offer the best medical services to the Gabonese citizens.
The two sides also reviewed Egypt’s potentials in the production of medicine and its exportation to Gabon and other members of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), which is made up of six States: Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), Chad, the Republic of the Congo and Equatorial Guinea.
The Egyptian ambassador also commended the Gabonese government’s efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus and apply all necessary precautionary measures.
