President of Egypt’s National Council for Women (NCW) Maya Morsi asserted that the Egyptian woman is proud of her achievements and her ability to reach out to decision-making sites, with full trust in the political leadership’s support for women’s empowerment.
Morsi further thanked to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for being the first defender of women in her address to the 2023 ceremony to honour Egyptian women and ideal mothers at the Manara International Conference Centre in New Cairo.
Egypt has made tangible progress in 33 of the national strategies indicators of women empowerment for 2030 half-term reviews issued by Observatory of Egyptian Women, Morsi added.
In 2022, the number of beneficiaries from NCW exceeded 2 million women nationwide, she said.
During a period of seven years, the NCW has achieved 48 million interactions through awareness campaigns reaching more than 5 million households.
