CAIRO – Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi has received several thank-you messages from Egyptian students fleeing war-hit Sudan for home in appreciation for tireless efforts exerted by the state in the past period and since the onset of the crisis in the neighboring Arab-African country, according to a statement by the emigration ministry.
The students asked the minister to convey their appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for efforts he is exerting to ensure the safety and well-being of Egyptian nationals abroad especially amid crises, added the statement.
The statement, according to MENA, mentioned that the messages were sent after the safe return home of the Egyptian students and the announcement of rules regulating their enrollment in Egyptian schools and universities.
In turn, Gendi said she is appreciating the students’ sense of gratitude and said her ministry is very interested in their academic future and studying all scenarios to help them continue their study in Egypt.
