CAIRO – The Egyptian Ministry of Educational and Technical Education announced that an Egyptian secondary grade student won the 6th place in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship presented by Certiport Egypt.
A statement issued by the Ministry Tuesday said Mahmoud Talaat el-Khousht, a student at Fuwa Secondary School, in
Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate in northern Egypt, along the western branch of the Nile in the Nile Delta, emerged 6th in the MOS’s finalists.
The ministry’s participation in the global competition came out of its keenness on honing students’ skills, as well as promoting transformation toward digitalization, the statement added.
Five Egyptian students were selected to partake in the contest among 160 students representing 30 countries from around the world, it said.
MOS tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel® and PowerPoint.
Participating in this competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase and prove their Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, have some fun, impress student colleagues, and gain recognition.
